Math Quest watches the last six answers in each topic. When five or six of them are
correct, it moves up a level; when three or fewer are correct, it gently steps back down.
After any change it starts watching fresh, so one hard patch never causes a spiral.
Levels go from 1 to 3 per topic (for example single digits → double digits → triple digits,
or times tables 2–5 → 6–9 → 10–12).
Practising without pressure
Short and often beats long and rare — one 10-question session a day is plenty.
Praise effort and strategy (“you kept going!”) rather than speed or being “smart”.
Leave the timer off unless your child asks for it — it’s a game mode, not a test.
Wrong answers are part of learning; the app never punishes them, and neither should we.
If a level feels frustrating, the app will ease back on its own — no need to intervene.
